UK police arrest over 100 in climate Modification protests

Police say they’ve arrested over 100 individuals after climate modification protesters blocked bridges and intersections in central London, bringing traffic to a standstill.

The team Extinction Rebellion is currently organizing a week of civil disobedience against what it says is the failure.

On Monday, demonstrators vandalized the headquarters of oil company Shell, and blocked sites such as Waterloo Bridge across the River Thames, the Oxford Circus intersection and Parliament Square.

After hours of disturbance, the group was ordered by police into Marble Arch, beside Hyde Park. Cases were arrested — 113 from Tuesday morning.

Extinction Rebellion said”over 100 courageous rebels” was detained. It said protests would continue.
